Walking wounded are starting to run a little

DALLAS -- A rare occurrence happened at Mavericks practice Monday. A full squad made it through the entire workout session.

OK, not a full full squad because Devean George still isn't close to practicing. But center Erick Dampier knocked some bodies around for really the first time, and shooting guard Eddie Jones tested the pain threshold of his still-achy lower right leg.

That means it is possible -- not definite, although seemingly more likely than not -- that coach Avery Johnson could finally have close to a full deck sometime this week, perhaps beginning tonight against Philadelphia. Read more
